Types: LED, EL, CCFL and other LCD backlights, white light, red light, green light, blue light, purple light, colorful backlight and other plug-ins, SMD, bonding optional.

When operating under low -light or light -free environment, LED backlight is required to read LCD characters. Backlight can "open" or "close" independently to LCD to reduce power consumption.
LED (light -emitting diode) backlight is the first choice for segmented LCD, because they are driven by DC (DC), and EM interference will not produce and provide a longer half -life.
Most designs connect backlight as a unit or module to LCD, but they can be manufactured and transported separately.
